Game Review - Sonic and the Black Knight

Sonic and the Black Knight... I honestly wanted this game to be good. But I'm that way for all Sonic game's it seems. Ah... The tragedy of being a Sonic fan... But S&TBK was a bad game. Slightly better than Sonic and the Secret Rings, but still a bad game that get's 2 and 1/2 stars out of 5. I tried a few new things for the video... And no. The second scene was NOT planned to be in sync with the music... That's a silly scene that unintentionally became sillyer... Anyways. I'll be trying to review Resident Evil 5 next... But I've already played it and it's a good game... And doing a review on a good game is MUCH harder than doing a review of a bad game... Anyways. Hope you guys enjoyed this review, and better yet... Had a good laugh. Til next time guys.

Game Review - Halo Wars

Holy hell, I actually did a review. And for a game I thought I would never summon up the focus to do. I want to apologize to everyone for not having done a review lately. I really do enjoy doing them, it's just pretty hard to find the time and THEN be happy with the finished work. And this review... Well. It has it's faults, but I think it's still one of my better reviews. Now. Halo Wars... Who'd of thunk it. Baby's first FPS can actually be converted into an RTS and actually work! It's not perfect... There are a few spots that could of been patched up and improved on. But Halo Wars is a good enough game to warrant a buy... After you try the demo. Oh. And because fucking YouTube won't take videos longer than 10 minutes... I had to split the review into two parts... Lord do I hate having to do that... The link the Part 2 is at the top of my comments on the YouTube page.

RTS Review - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Well. I went and saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine a little over a week ago. Pretty good move to be honest, though not as good as I was hoping. This is probably going to be my last review for The Rotten Tomato Show for awhile now, so my updates will probably be fewer; but they will be of better quality. Anyways if your still interested in seeing Wolverine, then I suggest you go and see it. It's pretty fucking satisfying.

RTS Review - The Informers

Oh lord... This was such a boring movie for me to watch. I went to it hoping for something like Requiem for a Dream or something with a feeling of insanity like American Psycho... But All I got was a movie that tried YET AGAIN to be a book, and failed miserably. The stories they tried to cram into the 98 minute (can you believe that, 98 minutes for this type of movie?) were just plain, dull, and boring and... Well. Why go on. Check the review if you want to full scoop. I give The Infromers a 68 out of 100 on the BAN'O'METER. Oh. And sorry if the review isn't my best quality. I saw the movie on Sunday and had to write a script and record the review in about 4 hours as well as upload it... So it didn't go through the usual quality control.

RTS Review - Crank: High Voltage

Hi and sorry about the lack of updates. It's been hard for me to find the proper motivation and time to make these movies. The RTS Reviews I do are a little easier to do, but they still take their toll, and finances have been hard on me. But if things go well, expect to see me get back in the saddle and produce more videos. It may be awhile before I do another game review as there are very few coming out that I'm genuinely interested in. So it may be movie reviews for awhile.

But anyways. Crank: High Voltage KICKS ASS. Watch this, decide if you like or hate it, and go see it. Best action movie I've seen in a long time.

RTS Review - Race to Witch Mountain

This review didn't get picked up by the RTS show. It could be because my opinion of it was pretty different from everyone else's take, it could be that I used a different recording method, or it could just be that it wasn't that good. Either way, I feel I need to post it here. Because I sure as hell won't be making a review for it, it's like... Not worth it. Especially since I still have the Resident Evil 5 review to do. But some of you may get a chuckle out of it.

Sorry about the hair. One of those days where ya just don't feel like dealing with it.

RTS Review - Watchmen

Well... Here is my review I made for The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current TV for Watchmen awhile back. I was really disapointed with it, and it did encourage me to work harder of my full review. But, the people at the show and Ben Stein (not THAT Ben Stein) manage to sort through the junk and find a decent enough piece of meat to air. Kudos to them, and once again I stress all young reviewers to give making their own reviews a shot by clicking HERE! I mean, seriously. You can do better than this review can't you?

Movie Review - Watchmen

No. I'm not dead, nor did I give up. I got fucking SICK and TIRED of Windows Movie Maker. A great tool for baby steps, but I'm ready to move on. I also bounced back and forth between my Halo Wars review, which... Well given how late it is, I think it's past my deadline. Same for Sonic & The Black Knight. I may review them one day, but for now I will likely be working on a review for the movie Race to Witch Mountain, and the game Resident Evil 5. Maybe even some Metal Gear Online if the Resident Evil 5 review goes well.

Anyways. About Watchmen. Meh. Nothing great, nothing bad, a slightly above average movie, watch it now if you want... but I'm pretty damn sure the DVD will be better equiped to explain everything than the movie, and you could rent it for half the price of admission at least.

RTS Review - Street Fighter: TLOCL

Recently Rotten Tomatoes has acquired a 30 minute time slot on Current TV called The Rotten Tomatoes Show. It has clips, parodies, and movie news, but what got my interest was it's call out for viewer reviews. Check the site, find out what reviews they want for the week, record your own review, submit it, and hope it get's picked up. I saw my video on the show, all 4 second's of it. I'm not complaining, but for the hell of it I decided to post the full review on my Blog. I don't think I will be submitting it elsewhere, so expect all my future Rotten Tomatoes reviews (if or if not they get picked) to show up here. And I also encourage any and all people with a taste in movies and a love of making reviews to submit their own.

A few notes. Sorry about the goofy screen cap, of all things it could pick it picks me on a sneer. 2nd. I recorded this on a 360 cam, so sorry about the poor quality. I am also currently working on a Halo Wars review, but you will likely see a Watchmen review before that.

Movie Review - Street Fighter: TLOCL

Wow... what a total piece of crap... Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is now the worst movie I have seen all year. I know. It almost seems impossible, and how can it be worse that Street Fighter? Well... I blame the shitty movie standard's of the modern day but... damn. I was really let down, and I am sure I am one of the first of many people to be outraged by this god awful piece of crap. I wanted this review to be... a bit better. But when I have a movie review I have to make some compromises if I want to get it out ahead of the crowd.

Game Review - Street Fighter IV

Wow... I can safely say STREET FIGHTER IS BACK! This game is just kick ass and easily the best modern fighter. Guilty Gear AC is my all time favorite, but that's just on a personal level. Street Fighter IV is a marriage of 2D fighting, 3D models, that makes a perfect 2.5D (2+3/2=2.5) game. It has the Brawl dilema being a bunch of locked characters, a pretty tough time starting out due to the tiny ass text, and a sub-par Collectors Edition. But it is GOOD. Check the review for the full story.

Movie Review - Friday the 13th (2009)

Well, The Lord of the Rings: Conquest was my first review of a bad game, so I guess it's inevitable that I have to review a bad movie. Friday the 13th (2009) was just awful. Gone is the campy atmosphere and creative death scenes, and present is a darker more "realistic" scenario. They could have really worked on the title for the movie since Friday the 13th (2009) means its a remake of the 1980 original which it clearly isn't. It's like a mix of the first four movies in present time. Either way, it was my bad luck to watch Friday the 13th (2009) on Friday the 13th.

Game Review - SUGC

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is a well loved game. I was a bit upset that the lock-on feature from Sonic & Knuckles was absent; meaning Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic 2, and Blue Sphere are absent. The unlocking requirement's for Phantasy Star are also silly, but overall the game was good and well worth the $29.99. On a side note, I wonder if we will see some SEGA Saturn and SEGA CD titles in the next collection since SUGC "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" has some SEGA Mega Drive games present.

Movie Review - Coraline

Coraline was one of the BEST movie's I have seen in awhile. It's kind of like Speed Racer, where it's a visual feast for the eyes, an experience you don't see in just any movie. While I don't think the 3D glasses and experience was worth the extra $2.50 to the price of admission... It was still an awesome movie that I suggest everyone to go and see. It's better than The Nightmare Before Christmas, and could be a great alternative to all the PG movies out there. Go and see it!

Movie Review - Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

After playing The Lord of the Rings: Conquest for so long, I needed a diversion. I was pretty pissed and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans looked like a nice and easy target for me to beat up on. But much to my surprise, it was a decent film. Better than Underworld and MUCH better than Underworld: Evolutions. Great action, great acting, and it could have been a great story if not for the fact that we already know what's going to happen. Too bad Lin Wiseman didn't do this movie first. A good film that should be good if your looking for a dark, action filled, and well done film.

Game Review - The Lord of the Rings: Conquest

The Lord of the Rings: Conquest was one the great disappointment's of my life. Pandemic Studios kicked ass with Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront 2, but they were unable to do their name of the Lord of the Rings justice. I just... I really can't go on here. Check the video to get my full view of this horrible abomination of a game. Oh. It's in two parts since YouTube won't hold it all, click both images to see both parts.

Demo Review - The Lord of the Rings: Conquest (T)

My last and first review may have been a bit heavy. I don't take any judgment back on it, but I wanted to see what a review would be like if I didn't use any foul language. It will take me some time, but eventually I hope to find my own unique style that will let me stand out from other video reviewers. But the game is almost out, so look out for my full review around the corner.
